wonho was consistently leading the pack in his group, no GT3 could catch him
PCA intermediate really put me in my place. Out of like 30-40 cars, I think every single car passed me at least once every session. I was crawled up in the shower crying from the pain of gang-rapeage.

But seriously, half the power & all-season tires added literally 10 seconds to my usual lap times. I was pretty much slipping every corner, but these Caymans and GT3s with r-comps right on my ass, shaking their heads.

Btw, huge difference in handling between 335 and Boxster. Caught me off guard in the first couple sessions.

All-seasons suck but then again considering how the weather was iffy, it could've paid off. You should look at getting a cheap 2nd set of wheels/tires. I'm sure you'll find a used set off some Porsche forum.

Now you know my pain (or inconvenience) of having to run what you brung, not being able to transport a 2nd set of wheels sucks. Although maybe you can get a trailer hitch lol.

Were you at least running track pads?

I did run PFC08/06 combo with RBF600, but turned out that my old rotors were warped. They vibrated after 2 laps, so forget any type of consistency, let alone daring to trail brake. No worries though. I know what to do, and I'm gonna prove some points next time.

I'm gonna be out of LRP. I got a lot homework for the next a few weekends.

You can tackle the rotors in one day, that gives you 10 days to come out with us at LRP.

In all honesty you did well considering the circumstances, there was some serious hardware in your group! But next time trade up, usually works better that way

I'm gonna let him disclose his secret, if he will, but let me just say if I had that kind of connection and pricing at the dealer, I would have jumped on it immediately instead of my station wagon.

Won't be ready by then, I don't have wheels/tires yet. Apex EC7 groupbuy just closed, I figure it'll take at least 2 weeks to get my wheels, once I get the shipment notification I'll also order Direzza IIs from tirerack. Camber plates on backorder for 3-4 weeks.

Hoping to have it ready for the 4/29 event @ NJMP.

For those of you who have done Pocono North Course, would you say it is worth a weekend? I've been hesitant about going to Pocono. Thanks.

Let me take a real deep breath.

[Inhale]

No.

[Exhale]

I wouldn't go back for a $10 track day. My experience at the North Course was miserable, 30% because the weather/cold (did it in October) and 70% because the track was f&cking horrendous. No flow, junk pavement, super short lap times. I had a hard time defining 'fun'.

Thanks I thought you had done the Full Road Course. Haha I only asked because I was thinking of doing one day in May at Lighting which is going to be about the same as 2 Days at Pocono North Course.

See you tonight!

Pocono North blows. They say every year how a new section of the track is paved. But truth is even if the whole track was repaved, it'd still be boring. It's basically a parking lot in the middle with some auto-x layout that leads to the oval and comes back in. I did it once just to say I did it, and not to mention it was an evening event but aside from that... I'd rather do a 1 day event at a real track. God, 2 days at Poconos actually sounds like torture...

Peter and I are both doing a 1 day event at LRP for $300. Considering you save on food, hotel, gas for a 1 day event, I'd say that's way more worth than it a boring a 2 day event, plus throw in LRP's historical background and the nice drive up/down... seems like a no brainer!

found a puddle of oil in my garage.. facking slow piece of shit, now just going around pissing everywhere. Tires are cooked, brakes are warped, might as well just get a new M3.
