Hey.. Calgary BMW has 3.9% on the M3 right now? Should I pull the trigger, or has anyone done better on the financing rate?

I'm look at a 2011, Mdrive, 6mt, speedcloth, nothing else really.

That rate appears to be over 48 months only .. your monthly payment on the most basic M3 with $5k down would be a whopping $1,575 !!

That's my mortgage payment .. LOL

I'll be putting a good amount more down and doing a balloon finance.. for me it makes sense as I drive (don't shoot me) only about 8,000km a year. If that. Anyway what I'm wondering is if "now's the time" or if others have scored better rates.

Definitely sounds better than their usual rate .. I think my 335i was about 4.9%, maybe even more, that was with regular finance.

My car now has about 22,000km .. 90% leisure driving .. it's only one year old

If they had that I would of got an M3 instead of my sedan.. I got 2.9 for my car.

It handles better, is faster, and sounds nicer then an M3 now anyways though.. I'd be downgrading if I bought one haha..

Simon, what kind of bulbs are those!? Can we get bulbs for our car that are brighter! are they hard to install!?

Agreed .. I'm fairly sure a 335i+tune is faster than an M3 at our altitude. Then add meth to the 335i, and for a total 1000$ in mods, it wouldn't even be a race

The bulbs are Arc Angels .. basically super white H8s. They are cheap, but do the job nicely! Probably need to know a kid or small Chinese person to install for you though .. I cut up my hands fiddling around in those little holes.

What made you choose the 328 and not a CPO 335i? * CPO means Certified Pre Owned *

Because you stay out of boost when driving with light throttle, you actually get better gas mileage with a 335i, at least I felt anyways, and of course when you do give it gas it is an absolute beast!

I wonder if the HPFP is different between Coupes and Sedans? I've never had a single issue for my car.. I may be one of those lucky ones I think.

Excellent -- good to know another JB4'er in Calgary!

Let us know how it is! It'll take few days to fully adapt up here at our altitude, and you might need to use the same custom firmware Terry put together for me. Did you order a USB cable? If not, I highly recommend adding it to the order asap..

The Arc Angels are probably the best 29$ you can spend on this car .. I hate the yellow look of the stock lights, but wasn't prepared to spend hundreds of dollars on the 'good' kits.

Today was such a nice day for cruising! Went out for dinner with my buddy, afterwards we took a detour down 17th ave. My car is absolutely insane haha... Gave it abit of gas when I passed melrose and the entire 17th ave just rippled from the exhaust note, EVERYBODY was just staring at the car like it was a Lamborghini or something haha.. To much fun

Yeah the USB is very useful -- with new features being added to the JB4 so frequently, you'll need an simple way to update the firmware. It's fairly easy to route through the ECU box into the glove compartment, there is a little hole that was almost made for the purpose

Let's compare for sure, once my car is running properly. I'm hoping to get my car into the dealership this week to swap out my tanked HPFP.
