Is there any possible way to order an E90 Sedan in Space Gray?
As far as I can tell, "space gray" is only available with the coupe. It's a fantastic color - by far my favorite. Otherwise, I like black and I SWORE I wasn't going to get another black car (on my 3rd straight right now!) I'll ask a few dealers when the time comes next month but I wanted to check and see if anyone had already done this. It's a standard BMW 3 series color (at least for the e92s) but not available for the e90.

It's been said that BMW will paint it any color you want if you paid them enough money. With being said I dont know if they would paint it Space Gray for you. I would call a dealer and have them check.

The E90 and E92 aren't even built at the same factory, so I'm going to assume they wouldn't do it, since they'd have to spray it by hand.
I'd suggest ordering your second choice -- maybe Sparking Graphite (the E90 gray) -- and if you aren't happy, bring it to a quality bodyshop that works on BMWs. If you pay them a few thousand dollars they could put Space Gray on it (they could order/mix it as if repairing an E92). Sorry man, I don't blame you, space gray is a great color.

I dont believe that is true, I think its the member "andrians bmw" who said that it used to cost 2500 and its not 5000 to get a different paint then offered. He also said it takes 2-3 months added on...someone correct me if im wrong.

I can't speak for USA but I got a custom color E90 on the way. I could have had Space Grey if I wanted to. If I would have asked the dealer I doubt I would have had the real answer. I called BMW Canada and asked them if I could build my car the way I wanted. Then said yes to some of my request (custom color and non-standard interior trim) and no to the rest. I had to pay extra though.

If you're dead set on space gray for a sedan, you can order a 5 series in that color if you like.

yes you can do this, it's a special order, your dealer needs to contact product planning and find out exactly how much it will cost you for that specific colour. It will cost you more. Takes more time as well for the production and it will not be cheap.
Better yet, find an individual dealer and get an individual colour, much nicer paints and the colours are incredible. |

If someone goes the Individual Collection route they are limitted to a few colors. I went custom order and while it was more expensive than Individual (in Canada Individual on the 3 series only gets you paint and trim) I could have got any BMW colors I wanted (except Individual). I went with Silver Grey. I could have had Space Grey for my E90 335i. It was my second choice if I couldn't have had Silver Grey. My production took longer because it was a Special Order but the car is now built and will be on its way soon.
