Need amp and sub config advise?

Hi guys.. I have a 2012 e92 on order with the bmw business system... what do you guys think of these? I want to only add and amp and sub (JL Audio 500/1 and 12w7) would these speakers sound ok with this amp and sub? also would I need anything else to connect this amp?

thanks any advise would be helpful!

I'd go with a 12w6 in a corner loaded box. Be sure to hit up technic for a harness.

OP I'm in the same boat as you but I won't be doing corner load since I have this box already. I wanna know what works too since I don't have rear fold seats.

Corner loading is more efficient and you'll have alot less rattles.

I already have the amp and sub but what I need to know is how to hook it up? Also why do you say the w6 is better?
Thanks

A W6 would fit in a corner enclosure. Anyways you want to pm technic and get his harness.

w6's are awesome. Simply put, you'll need to have a direct positive power to your amp from your battery. A ground onto some part of your frame or chassis of your car. Then a power on to tell your amp when to turn off or on. There's a ton of information you can find over the web if this is your first audio setup.

It won't really matter if you do left or right.

Wow, very nice and clean looking.

Where did you get that enclosure? I was thinking of putting mines on the left and most corner enclosures I found online were only for 10" subs, so when I went to a local audio shop to see how much custom enclosures would cost they quoted me $700+ for what I wanted.

The only thing stopping me from installing my sound system is that i'm missing the corner enclosure, I need help finding one for the left corner of the trunk that fits a 12" sub.

Im in the same situation as you, but i got quoted £700 (€1300ish!). So i am going to make my own one.

If you're interested, read my thread titled "My second stage upgrade..." Has a lot of info on making an enclosure.
