Discs and Pad sizes

Hey helpers!

I'm struggling to work out which disc / pad combo I need for my car.

My car:
2006
E92
330D
231bhp model.

I've measured the discs and worked out that I need the (larger) 348mm front discs.

for the pads, should I also be ordering the larger size (option 2)? or am I putting 2 +2 together??

Option 1:
Dimensions - 155.1 x 63.5 x 20.3mm & 154.6 x 63.5 x 20.3mm

Option 2:
Dimensions - 155 x 68 x 20mm & 155 x 68 x 20mm

Any help or advice appreciated!

Cheers
David

have you used realoem before?

http://www.realoem.com/
7 digits of your vin in there and it'll tell you exactly what you need. including BMW part numbers. not sure about sizes though.

I had wondered this myself, so measure them several times.

They are the 348mm discs.

Checked on this website where I was able to enter my reg plate and it shows the 348mm discs are required.

On RealOEM I noticed that it gives 2 options for fronts, 330mm or 348mm. I measured mine last night and seem to have the 330mm option. Why are they different and are they interchangeable? Really interested to know.

OP if yours are 348 for sure then get 348 again, I would say

Check your reg on the link above. Let me know what it comes up with.

I wish I has the 330mm. much cheaper and could then justify upgrading the pads haha

When I enter my reg, there is just a blank white space under "Recommended options:" line

(Worst website I've ever seen, I literally have no idea where to go to find the info that I'm looking for...and I'm a high-end web developer )

Checking the options for my reg on EuroCarParts site, it says "for increased payload" in the description for the 348mm discs.

Not especially.

No I-drive, Bluetooth or USB. Not even a super cool sunroof!

But has heated seats!!

Very unusual to have 348mm on the early 330d. 348 was on the 335 and introduced with lci for the 330d. Still if you have measured them and its confirmed by the dealer for some reason your car is different.

Surely It can't be that uncommon if the websites offer the choice of both for my model and year?

the website isn't that smart, its offering that option because the 335i is also a 3.0L BMW straight 6 like yours.

Mine is an LCI 330d and front discs definitely measure up as 330mm when I use a measuring tape with the wheel still on. Rear discs are visually larger. Dunno what the hell happened there lol...
