The BMW is a great road trip car. I drove my 07 328i from Philly to the Black Hills of SD, down to the Nebraska Sand Hills (world class golf there) and back. Lots of great miles!

Dylan- yes they only put SM on them in 2006. I think PBM replaced it and I think it is a little lighter and closer to silver where as SM has dark brown and green tones in certain light. Pretty nice I think.

Thanks guys for all the complements. Got in late last night around 1230 eastern (lost an hour). Averaged about 26.5 mpg and was going between 75-80 mph most of the way. I was hoping for a little better than that but it still was ok. I was running 93 octane the whole way which they just started putting in P66 by me and then they had it when I filled up too.

Only stopped once for gas and had a quick bathroom break about 3 hours in.

Do you guys think that 93 would bet a lower mpg?

Any ways the drive was good, car was smooth and comfortable the whole way and even in some slushy and dark windy roads we got on late in the trip the car handled like a dream. No complaints except that damn cup holder that disallows passengers to move their left leg.

I was just imagining having a HUD the whole time, that would have been great and will be a requirement on my next car down the road.

Drove my buddies 09 a4 to breakfast because he was a tad hungover today and although it drove nice it just didn't feel great in my hands.

Happy weekend guys I'll update with a few pics from the drive over the weekend. Thanks for the comments!

Sorry it's so blurry but here is the pic from our fill up. This pump took over 15 minutes to fill up the car. No joke.
Gave me time to spray down the windows with Chem guys window cleaner and get that windshield clear!

No time for more pictures as we were making great time. I'll take more on the way back since there will be better weather.

Wow, that color is gorgeous. Glad you had a good trip - just got back from 2,400 mile round trip with the family, and can't say a bad thing about these cars on long hauls. Safe travels.

Definitely love the color! Your car is very glossy. Congratulations on your 330xi! I have one and am absolutely in love with it.
