Rubbery ummmmmmmmmm door plastic...
Just curious, and ive SEARCHED this and couldnt find anything... Im not wondering about the BLACK hard plastic for the interior, but the SOFT RUBBERY stuff that the door cover is made of *interior as well* right by the bottom of the window.
I have no idea how scratches got there, but im wondering if there is a way to take them out...or am i pretty much fu@ked and once they are there, they stay there! They arent that deep, blah blah blah...just wanna know if anyone knows if they can be addressed. Thanks. |

Sounds like your talking about the inner weather stripping, is it on the actual flexible rubber piece that touches the window, or the rubberized plastic at the top of the door?
Is it this piece? if so, you won't be able to polish it out, but it is pretty cheap to replace. Sorry to be mean about your rant! Rob 08 Channel sealing, inside, door, front left 1 51337119089 $24.94

its all good rob, i didnt take it too seriously... Lol!
Yeah, its not the weather strip, its the top of the door interior. Here is a pic to illustrate what im talking about *not my ride direct your attention towards the interior of the far door...there is a handle on the black part of the door, the scratch on my ride is where the RED color is, almost directly above that handle. I have a 3 series, im not sure if that material is the same as mine...but i just wanted you to have a better understanding of what and where the scratch was Thanks again. |

You need to post an actual picture of you car. Show it to the dealer, maybe they replace it for free. |

wow, its pretty straight forward stuff.... I cant see how anyone cant follow what im talking about. ill look for a pic somewhere down the road, right now i couldnt be bothered lol.
above the door handle *black*, where the red rubber is... thats where i would have my scratch. dunno how a different door is going to change the explanation. it will just be different colors. |
