LSD install

Almost done saving up for a LSD & figured I'd take advantage of HPAutowerks' free shipping and competitive prices (~$1400 after the core charge refund); but where do you get this installed in New England? On the one hand I gather it's precision work that requires experience, but quotes ~ $3-4K seem exorbitant.

Any one have real life story?

well i would try Dave considering he said he would consider doing a turbo install and from my understanding thats a bit harder than the LSD. He would need the right tool to get the bearing races out. Not sure if you will need shims, but he would also need a tool to check backlash.. could be worth a shot to PM him. I have no experience with any LSD or i would help you. goodluck

also you could call autobahn performance in peabody they just did a diff for my friends porsche

Check ACE Performance Systems in Tewksbury. They do this stuff all day every day, and have good relationships with places to get diffs for less.

Dan at diffsonline dot com does them.
His shop is in Winchester.
He has prebuilt diffs, Wavetrac and Quife all ready to go.
I used them for my wavetrac when I had my 135i.
It was super fast and I was driving my car by mid afternoon the same day.
