Slight oil leak e90 335d

Hi all noticed a small splash of oil near my front drivers side wheel this morning. I've checked in the engine bay and there does seem to be a slight spillage of oil on the undertray below. Any ideas where this may be coming from, thanks in advance for any replies.

Yeah Is that the red pipe at the front, If so it was covered in oil. Is this a common fault then. It looks like the oil is pooling directly below the red pipe.

Red boost pipe is a known issues re sweating oil, its pushed through coating the right hand side intercooler area in oil at the same time route cause can be further upstream namily the cars breather sysyrem BMW modified the unit plus the pipe a little while ago thing is I've seen 335d/535d's solider on for agrees with oil everywhere which makes you wonder but if caught early you can make life a little easier for yourself IMO

Picture below was from a 535d

but it shows what takes place

Thanks for the tip mate. Think I'll get it changed out ASAP. Any recommendations for a replacement and is it labour intensive. What price would I be looking at to get it changed. Thanks again

There are a couple of options re pipework BMW have modified there's from memory plus there is a Forge option on the table as well if you don't want to use the BMW pipe cost wise these pipes aren't exactly cheap from memory the BMW pipe is a good £250+VAT plus the breathers around £41+VAT plus an additional £20odd +VT for the modified pipe they've introduced.

Labour varies depending on who you speak too but its a straightforward if slightly fiddly job that with a ramp can be done plus at the same time its a good move to clean up the under tray and oil residue left from the mess as well

Just been on the forge website and they do a pipe at 120 with fittings and instructions included. Might get that and take it to a local indy. Im not paying main dealer prices lol. And I'm certainly not paying 250 plus for it from BMW lol.

Slight update on this. My car has been checked over by my local indie and he says it's pretty normal on the 335s. Some people choose to live with it, but he's gonna replace the seals and clean it up for me. He said it's not normally the pipe that needs replacing just the seals. It's booked in next week so hopefully no more leaks after that lol.
