Go OE and just search by part #. I think cheapest ones were on Amazon.

OE is Bosh.

They are the same thing. Replace all of them and do not mix and match. (i.e. Denso with Bosh, etc.)

I've used Bosch coils on several cars and they work great. Spark plugs too.

As a matter of fact, I use Original Equipment Manufacturer aftermarket products whenever I can. I have yet to be disappointed and the savings are substantial.

The BOSCH coils I bought actually had the BMW part numbers printed on them and the parts looked exactly the same as the original BMW coils ... they most likely came out of the same molds.

As W37V said, if you can, don't skimp. Replace them all.

If you plan to supercharge. Okada's are the way to go.

BMW use Bosch, so Bosch is fine... If you want to pay extra, then OE.

My argument is simple, if the OE ignition coils (and other parts) are SO good, then why are we all at some point having to replace them? And not all at dizzy high mileage or age for that matter. To be clear, I am not saying go out and fit the cheapest and most substandard components, but I am not convinced that a simple BMW roundel stamped on an otherwise branded part is any better than that same part minus the BMW roundel than invariably sells for considerably less. If the OE parts lasted and were not prone to failure, then fair enough. Then again, this has also often been discussed and we will all have our own opinions...

OEM means original equipment manufacturer. Not necessarily "Genuine BMW" parts. Bosch makes the coils for BMW. Bosch is the OEM. Buy Bosch coils. Whether you want the extra BMW logo on it or not is your own prerogative.

I just wish to see any opinions or differences between BMW, Bosh and Bavarian coils.
