Today's progress..
Why I chose the hottest day of the year to fit these I do not know, anyway it's done & I think it's looking miles better. Just need to get rid of the last of the grey bits! Removed my gloss black wrap as I never really liked it & the silver looks great against black.
I've got a black centre console/arm rest in the post and a black dash I'm bidding on, on eBay. Then it's just the sill trims & parcel shelf til all the grey is gone! Just for reference, changing a bmw e90 carpet is ****** difficult & I'm dead now, going go the pub for a meal! Out with the old.. In with the replacement.. Il be happy when all the grey is gone but this in my opinion is a decent bit of progress considering I paid £40 for the complete interior & £30 for the black carpet Last edited by JJ0063; 07-19-2014 at 12:40 PM.. |

It was the hardest part!
All interior out, all side trims out, technically meant to have dash out too but I carefully cut my old one out as it was being binned, then on the new carpet I very carefully cut the joins under the centre console so it was in two halves (passenger & driver side) then placed the joins together so they sit together but are hidden under the console. Completely invisible once the console is in place |
