What is this?

So I installed a AFE CAI but when i installed it i ounted it on top of the black tube noted in the picture below. Sooo I was getting long cranks for a month so i though it was the HPFP. I stripped the mods off the car and drove it for a few weeks... now i havent had any long cranks so i added the procede back to the car and still havent had any long cranks. Does anyone know if that black tube/line could have been the issue?

just wait, the long cranks will return. Sometimes the HPFP's get a 2nd wind before dying

Yes but the long cranks went away the second i uninstalled the intake and procede.

That my friend is the brake booster line. If you don't reconnect it, then you don't stop.

yea its a vaccuum line, mainly for the brake booster, you will stop without it but will not have power brakes, just manual, so you would have to step on the pedal real hard
