SOME BS!!

Minding my own business and i get pulled over. Thinking to myself what the hell did i do wrong and the cop comes and yells at me for not having a front plate. I was so surprised and the last time i got pulled over was 5 years ago. I didn't care at all i thought it was a 25 buck ticket since its just like a parking ticket. Turns out its 120 bucks as much as a speeding ticket. I HATE THIS STATE!!!

"NO REGISTRATION PLATE ON VEHICLE FRONT OR REAR - 1ST AND 2ND OFFENSE "

This is a non moving violation so its no biggie but 120 dollars....

BTW THIS IS IN THE SUBURBS TO BE EXACT IN DARIEN IL ON CASS AND PLAINFIELD RD if your familiar with the area.

He also was like you got illegal tints and i can give you a ticket for that i have a gun to measure. I go

okay cool. I have 20% percents so he could've added another non moving violation.

Moral is PIGS ARE PIGS....

Not in the same area but i get pulled over for that stuff all the time. i got pulled over 4 times in 1 week for: no front plate(which is a criminal charge/fee here), illegal tint, and speeding. Thankfully i got warnings each time.

He even measured my tint which was at 30%, legal is 50% and still just a warning. Was quite surprised actually.

Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of cops at all, especially the NYPD around here. But driving without a front plate and getting a ticket for it makes sense. It sucks, but you chose to take off the plate (or never put it on) for aesthetic reasons and you were summarily ticketed for it. Municipalities need to make money too.

try living in the city.. if you park on the street they will tag you every single day for tint ($250) and plate ($50). i just gave up and finally got 50% tint and a tow hook plate bracket..

Its something that is not harming anyone. You can't compare the two. It's like speeding 5 over which is still illegal and everyone does it. Its all politics at the end of the day. I just put my plate on...sad day.

Yeah i know sucks thats why i always park in a garage never meter parking or I take my M3 out when im in city.

Whatever, its not politics. Its so police can identify vehicles easily, like lets say there's an amber alert and your car matches the description of the perp and they have plate numbers or a partial. There is a purpose. I am no better, I don't run a front plate, but I'm not gonna complain when I get pulled over for knowingly breaking a law.

I don't believe that this is correct, but I may be wrong. Your friend may not have had trouble but that doesn't mean he can't.

I don't know why you're calling him a pig for doing his job. If anything, you should be thanking the officer for not giving you a ticket for tints.

I'd argue that point, but regardless, like it or not, until it changes it is the law. You choose to not run a front plate, you are choosing to pay the fine.
