N52 Stock Exhaust vs BMW Performance

Your PE sounds great ... excellent choice! I wouldn't know when to shift if I had the stock exhaust, it's just way too quiet.

BMW Performance FTW ... it's expensive but OEM quality is nearly unbeatable, perfect fitment, and it counts as an "accessory" as far as warranty is concerned, not a "mod".

Is there a smell coming from the exhaust? I've read it will take a while to burn off the oils from the whole exhaust.

Nice. The PE exhaust is the way to go. Pricey mod but coupled with an intake and a tune - it brings the n52 motor to life. It definitely sounds better with time...

OP....how many miles do you have on your car? And what was the 'break-in' period for the exhaust? (curious about how much the sound changed on the PE). Thanks!

I think mine opened up after 5k km

I started to hear new sound just recently.

The sound of new exhaust you'll love so don't worry bout PE sounding bad when it's new. It's awesome. It just gets even better

My buddy told me exactly on the 5th day after install. god of thunder will come out. So I kept driving and waiting for that day to come thought that's the day PE breaks in. It got a little louder but nothing crazy from before. Now I know what he ment. I guess god of thunder decided to come out 5k+ km later.

i think 51k and now at almost 60k. cant believe i drove so much in 3 months.

New Video. Finally the weather is nice and warm. Only difference car was warmed up cause i came from the gym. So no real cold start. Not sure if the video is any different from the first one but the Exhaust does sound meaner, louder in person. Specially when driving.

I used to cheap out on the PE. Was thinking on getting it for $989 but when i found out that price didnt include install and tax I jumped out of the group buy.
Some time after that, I was so close on getting mtech wheel+airbag and the accesories for 750$, and the guy sold it to someone local. I've got so sad,

called every dealership in Toronto to get the best price on PE and a day after that bought it.

Even tho PE cost more. I'm so glad that ive got it. Bough PBX, K&E.. even changing oil in my car myself now. All about performance now not even thinking much bout cosmetics or mtech steering wheel anymore :P

As I've said before. This mod wasnt on my list, never thought about getting it in the beginning stages of modding. However, after having it on my car I def will get an exhaust and tint as my first mod on my next car. (even on 335) I can understand 335 guys, your cars sound louder but 328s are so quiet and Yes! somehow the sound alone makes $1k i spent worth.
Muffler deletes, magnaflow, MMW and all other exhausts is another route option. Pros and Cons everywhere. Everyone got different size wallet and own preference but again I'm extremely happy with what I have

i have PE on my 325 for 2years....love it during warm weather cuz the windows are roll down but in the winter, its not loud enough imo
