Smile 500whp/505lb-ft Vishnu Procede/PWM Meth/Turbo Dynamics Turbos

Hi guys,
Just got some dyno results sent from our friend Brady at Dyno Doc in Quebec (www.dynodoc.ca). Thought some may find it interesting. The car is a 6MT 335 running FBO with Turbo Dynamics Stage 2 upgraded turbos. It is also running Procede Rev3 with current 11-25 Aggressive maps (6MT Upgraded turbo map) on pump gas with our PWM Meth kit. On this Dynpack hub dyno, stock cars make ~265whp which is slightly less than on most typical Dynojets. Shown are two consecutive runs just before calling it quits. Running the default setting of 65% boost/0% IC (on meth), the car put down ~480whp. Brady then gradually bumped the boost setting while monitoring ignition advance logs at each step. At 90% boost, it made just over 500whp. At peak of 18.5-19psi@5700rpm (see boost log below). AFR is solid as well. The car is making great power (probably over 510whp on dynojet) and I think everyone is happy where it is at the moment. If anyone in Quebec is looking for a good tuner, definitely visit Brady at Dynodoc

They're the same kind of thing as RB's, just a lot more expensive - that's why not many people have them. Stage 1 are like the EPL/Helix/etc turbos, Stage 2 are like RB/ASR.

Is this the PWM with 4 nozzles or 2? Wow. Serious numbers for pump + meth. Looks great.

If comparable to RB's mechanically, what differences are there to achieve these numbers? Just tuning and methanol setup?

Yes, just the standard PWM meth kit with 2 nozzles. On top of the 94oct they get in Canada. A few months back it ran a PPS meth kit with very similar mapping and made 480whp on the same dyno:

These results are pretty standard for upgraded turbos. Running nearly 20psi on ASR turbos, my car put down 518whp on a dynojet on race gas+meth. And ananomouse's car put down nearly 480whp (same dynojet) on 91oct plus meth with a stock exhaust running just 17psi of boost.

I'd say that 520-530whp is the upper limit for RB/ASR/TD turbos. Making 500+whp is pretty easy assuming no other mechanical issues (miscoded injectors, bad plugs/coils/etc,.)

excellent results... that should be a monster, is there any way to fine tune or retune to lose 100 or so lb-ft of TQ? I think 500 HP and 400 LB-FT of TQ would be perfect... I only say this due to traction issues.

Thanks

Only way is to slowly introduce the boost at a certain rpm and then make it come quicker at later rpm (like a boost controller) but then ull get lag and make less whp n tq by the time u hit red line. Remember HP doesnt win races.. tq wins races. Its all about the driver and how much of a lead foot he has to deal with traction.

That's enough for me to know to not take you seriously.

The gentlemen who said that was also wrong (enzo ferrari).

I think horsepower has still a lot to do with winning races. If you are talking about light to light or 1/4 mile then yes but if you are talking about 80-150+, horsepower is where it's at.

I'm really shock at the afr n how solid it is at wot. How come all of the upgraded Turbo dynos I have seen show a lot of leaning out up top? And those that are OK have to tapper their boost from 2x down to 17psi but this one is constant around 18-19psi? What was different about this setup...was the dme altered to allow better afr control and this run was on pump gas and not race gas?

I would love to see this car on a dynojet since dynopak usually makes about 10-15%more than the usual dynojet.
