The description literally reads "Works great on 2007 and later BMW 335 and 535 vehicles with the 3.0L engine."

I'm cheap, I use a $4 rubber strap wrench, it can be used to open more than the filter cap, like pickle jars

The 12 point spark plug socket will just grab the 6 outer tips of the spark plug, one of the posters here had a stripped spark plug and this socket was unable to remove the plug.

It was probably seized and he or the mechanic stripped the points off with a 12 point socket, why not use a 6 point spark plug socket as it will grab the entire spark plug and turn it instead of just the tips.

Thanks Glim, I was referring to the socket. I too use a strap wrench on the filer cap

This socket from Sears does not work. I got it to do the job and it doesn't go over the porcelain part of the plug. Spend the $10 on a socket that works... ECS Tuning has it.

It does not work- at least the one I checked at Sears . the 335 requires a special "thin wall" 12 pt sparkplug socket. The recessed walls the sparkplug sit in is very narrow and the clearance between the walls and the plugs is about as close as can be and still get even the thin wall sockets to fit.

I just used it and it worked great. No issues at all, although you do have to pop out the magnetic piece inside. To pop out the magnet I placed a the screwdriver tip on the magnet and then just hit the top of the magnet with a hammer. Was not difficult at all.

first review says this

"i bought this spark plug socket to use on bmw 335 and 535 with the twin turbo motor. in the description of the socket it says great for use on 2007 and newer bmw 335 and 535. after i got it i found that it cannot be used on these cars at all. the internal magnet is in the way. the spark plug hits the magnet and cannot go into the socket. i do not know why the spark plug is made for these cars but do not work at all....would the socket be tested for function before being sold?"

I did the same for this socket. The magnetic ring inside is just a bit too small to fit around the spark plug.
