RPM's fly to Redline when WOT???
This has been happening for the past 2 weeks. I have an 09 E92 335i FBO with inlets/outlets running MHD E40 Map V6. It was running fine and then one day I went WOT and it screamed to redline in a split second (almost as if the clutch was slipping). I have an upgraded ACT HD clutch and flywheel so I know that's not it, however it does not seem to want to hold boost under WOT. Just replaced 3.5 bar T-map sensor and adapter.
If I give it three quarters throttle, I see 17+ psi just fine. Anyone have any idea what this could be? Thanks in advance! |

Car engages and accelerates fine until gauge flies to redline in which I'm then coasting. Car does not continue accelerating when this happens. Again, this only happens at WOT. 3/4 throttle seems to be holding fine. :/

As mentioned, something is slipping. The only two things that can slip in your MT are the clutch and the tires.

Sorry for super late update, but felt I should have addressed this after fixing the simple problem causing my RPM's to fly to redline. The culprit turned out to be a boost leak.
The clutch was perfectly fine. My lower charge pipe popped off the intercooler and was no longer connected. Once this was addressed, the car has run perfectly since. |
