Dampers alone aren't going to ever get you an M3 feel. That car has superior engineering on so many chassis componants contributing to that amazing feel, you'd have to basically replace everything from bushings and a arms to sways and struts.

Just buy and M3 if you want to feel like you're driving an M3.

In terms of feel the E46 M3 is light years better but that mostly relates to the bushings, control arms, and power steering ratios. It'd take a lot of money to convert your 335i to that sort of feel. If you like the feel of an E46 M3 so much its probably just easier to buy one and mod from there.
dont agree with the first statement at all personally. i have owned both

and i did buy one, but dont plan to mod it much

I also agree with this statement just coming out of a e46 m3 6spd myself.

I just got into a e92 335 and every one that rides in my new e92(sport) says it is soooooo much smoother than my e46 m3.(stock suspension oem 19's)

The suspension on the e46 m3 track ready, unlike the e92s.

PLEASE dont get me wrong I felt more connected with my e46 m3 than any other car I have ever driven.

I tried to trade my car in on a 2006 track package m3 with only 20k miles and no other options driven by a guy who only drove it with gloves on to keep the alcantara in perfect condition. It was SHOW ROOM CLEAN!!!

Unfortunately, the dealership knew how special the car was and wouldn't budge a bit on the price (we were about $5k off of what I thought was a fair price). I know 335i's have nearly identical handling specs, lateral g's, braking, accelleration, slalom times, etc than the e46 M3, but with a softer ride. Unfortunately they do lose in the steering feel department.

Now that my car has some of the necessary suspension tweaks, I'm glad I kept it, and I'm not sure I could have cared for the M3 properly (I dive my car year round in WI), so I probably am better off. I do think of that car often.

Enjoy the new ride!!!
