Vista DRL do I still need it.

My car is a 2007 E90.
335i.
Bought a Vista DRL harness already as my car is a Sept 2006 built date.
Great.

There is a emmision recall on my car, dealer will be updating the dme or ECM, .... The computer firmware.
Great.

Ok, so far as I have read, if your car is on FW1, and built before March 2007, then you will need a Vista DRL harness to have halos as DRL?

Am I correct?
And
If dealer updates the computer, do I still need the Vista Harness?

I put this in the coding section, as this is a when to code, and not to code question.

Thx in advance for your input.
DN.

You need the harness or you can upgrade to the frm2 for about 2x the price and do it the right way

You still have the same footwell module after software update. You need a FRM 2 to be able to get rid of Vista harness, and FRM 2 would need to be programmed.

Bobkur, if I understand correctly.
Frm2 is hardware module.

So a software dme programming under a recall will only be a programming deal.

Right?
