New factory headunit-- No sound

the screen on my stock headunit has been on the fritz, sometimes unreadable, so i bought a new radio on ebay. I just tried to swap them, but i didnt get any sound out of the new unit. Is this one of those things the dealer has to program or is the headunit just bad? I did notice one thing, as i was going through the options on the new radio, i saw settings for logic 7, which I do not have, could this be the problem also? I checked the product numbers and everything is the same, so i dont know what the problem is.

DING DING!

The HUs can have analog outputs enabled, or digital fiber-optic enabled, not both.

L7 needs digital fiber optic. If you are in that mode, the HU's analog outs are disabled. You must have a HiFi car, so you need the HU in analog HiFi mode.

There are two analog modes, make sure to get the right one. Might want to call Autologic US in NY and find a local Autologic shop - they can recode the HU.

Sounds like you bought a L7 head unit....which works with optical out only. Good news is, the head units are all the same, so you probably just need it recoded for analog out. I believe autologic shops can do this. If you want to know for sure, Technic is your guy, PM him or see if he replies.

It probably needs to be coded. Forum member Patrys can code your radio. Or any coding for that matter.
