Had a chance to do some data logging on my car a couple nights ago... unfortunately, this run was on an uphill segment with a consistent right curve. How does it look? I'm new with looking at these and not sure how the timing corrections look... and how the requested load vs actual load looks... any comments would be great, thanks!

The logs look pretty good. I'm going to assume the timing corrections in 4th gear are related to IATs and aren't that bad.

Yeah... I thought it was weird that there was so much timing correction going on in 4th gear... but wasn't sure what was going on...

So spark plugs were swapped out yesterday. Today, tested the car out. My baby's roaring like a wild tiger. Much happier now!

I can't say for sure it's IAT related, but i'd say it's likely. I haven't hit 100F IATs since i started running stage 2+, but on stage 1 whenever my IATs went over 90F i tended to get timing pulls. Since your timing on #1 only pulled to 5* and then started climbing steadily again it really isn't bad. When it starts pulling, adding and then pulling ris when you may have an issue.

Definitely a difference is boost targeting speed btween stage1 sport and agg... Agg is slower and doesn't hold boost as well during a shift. I'd love to know the difference in mapping?

I was running aggressive map on Exxon 93 octane. What could cause my timing to be so 'bad'... And what constitutes 'bad' timing, anyways? Just the degree of timing correction? Thanks!

Ok I'll try that next time...

Enrita, any input on my timing? I know you've had a lot of experience with Cobb... Thanks!

Try the sport map on the same gas. Seems its too aggressive as it pulls basically timings on all cylinders. Spurk plugs are new?

Thanks for the reply. The spark plugs have about 10,000 miles on them now.

How much timing should I expect?

When you shift into 3rd gear the car is not happy with the multiple timing corrections. Try dropping to the sport map temporarily

You mean when i shift into 4th, right? Looks like not much timing correction in third... I'll go down to stg2+fmic sport and try to do some logs soon...

Is this a tuning problem or hardware problem? Or no way to tell?

Could be a bad gas problem, try a different pump/brand. I'm probably getting the same gas you are provided youre somewhat local to me and I don't see timing corrections like that. I doubt it's a hardware problem unless you felt something obviously wrong?

Yeah meant 4th. Wasn't sure if it was a 2-3 log or a 3-4 log.

probably octane because i can run 93 octane with no pulls of timings whatsoever .

I didn't feel anything obviously wrong... Although when i slam on the gas, it isn't perfectly smooth... It feels just like the rpm log shows... Kind of inconsistent power... But that might be due to a not-perfectly-smooth road and slight tire slippage... I assumed everyone had power delivery like that...

I can try other gas stations... But exxon is pretty reliable, i thought... Coming from Texas, i hate these gas stations that charge 10 cents more per gallon if you use credit card... so I've been restricted to the same gas stations... Guess I'll have to start carrying around cash :P

Hm very interesting... I'll definitely have to try new gas... What gas do you guys get? Shell?

I have the new BMS catch can... That shouldn't have anything to do with this, right? If anything it would prevent blow-by and prevent the blow-by from reducing the octane...

*sigh* can't wait for meth...
