Dual Cone Intakes
JB4 ISO 5 (get the adapter for diagnostics)
BMS has a combo sale on those: http://www.burgertuning.com/jb4_pnp_...nce_tuner.html
Downpipes

DCI + ****** DPs + JB4 = MAP 2 = 14.5 PSI boost = HOLY F!! (running 94 from Petro-Canada ONLY)

You will want to also upgrade your charge pipe when that is done... they are a failing component for many people using higher than stock boost.

Feel free to PM if you have more questions. The real question is about money and goals.... do you want an "INSANE" car? Something more powerful then 335 sitting next to you, etc.

Also, I would advise getting a 1,000 reserve fund before you start building... that makes life less stressful as you play.

thank for the great reply,

doesn't the stage 2 require an upgraded exhaust system? - I just have upgraded exhaust tips

yea, I have never pumped anything be 94 - I remember couple of years back Sunoco had 94? but now its only petro - I want to do so many things but its hard to get your mind around where to start lol

so in order jb4 - dual cone intake - downpipes - charge pipe? these would cost 1k? how much would all these cost installed? on the jb plus I have it set @ 75 percent.

i think i should contact mike from n54 tuning - what about the longevity of these once installed - i will only be driving this car maybe 6 months out of the year as i have a winter beater

I don't go by "stage" because that is a little interpretive to each person and each build.

Using the JB4 it should be about the map you will run:

MAP 5: All mods supported because it auto tunes
MAP 1 : DCI + JB4 + 94 Octane
MAP 2 : DCI + JB4 + 94 Octane + ******* downpipes

N54 JB4 and BMS USB Cable and Dual Cone Intake Combo

BMS has a special on DCI, JB4 with USB Cable (get the USB cable... just trust me on that!)

With the JB4 taking over the remaining issue as I understand it is the "ability to breathe" for the car, so DCI and *at**ss downpipes make the car be able to breathe better and you want that for the longevity of the engine and turbos. I'm at 125K on the car and it's running great.

Longevity is always a question. Do you oil changes timely, every 5000-7500k. Clean your DCI's as needed and do all the maintenance (there are threads to read) and it will last. Bottom line though, stuff does break... that's why you need that 1k put away before your start playing. Just remember, within reason there is nothing that can't be repaired or replaced... the idea is to not need to do repairs because you are building the right path and supporting mods as you go.

Most people complain about charge pipe problems as the boost increases. Again, Mike from n54tuning has a crazy good deal on a ER charge pipe and BOV combo, but you don't need that at this point IMO.

BTW, the upgrade path I am suggesting is the one that is sorta standard and it's the one I'm on... I'm installing an Intercooler because the n54s do get heated up easily... you might want that after the DPs... then do the charge pipe.

Worth mentioning; if you can get everything installed at once and then drive it vs doing incremental updates you will freak the fuck out. Also, you should go to a back end flash (moves from JB4 piggyback to actual DME) that makes things EVEN SMOOTHER.

PM before you shop and before you get the work done, I've got a few contacts that you might want to try out for pricing, etc.

THANKS BUDDY,

great response - ill send you a pm now as I am very interested into upgrading do you suggest new or slightly used parts? I seen people sell the jb4 second hand wondering if that's something to look out for.

Hey guys,

just pulled the trigger on an 09 328xi 4d 70k 6MT
babied by an oldie who drove it in the summer only.
North Toronto/Thornhill Area.

Few q's for the vets

-where can I buy parts at a reasonable cost?
-is there a trusted mechanic in the north toronto, thornhill area?

the car is stock at the moment - what should I upgrade?

1) What kinda parts are you looking for? OEM? Then Marenello BMW gives discount if your not a member of E90

2) I hate to sound rude but this is a question that gets asked a gazillion times a day. Funny enough I didn't even have to SEARCH, it was the second post in this section.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1070618

3) I don't know what you want to upgrade, but the inline six NA is hard to gain HP. The 335 (N54/N55) would have been a better car for you if you wanted HP gains.

Welcome to the community, there are great people in here, with great knowledge.

AC Evap Replacement in GTA

Hi:

I am looking to get AC Evaporator replaced on my 2009 335i coupe. Endras has given an estimate of $3500 and car is out of warranty.

Any suggestions on where to take in Toronto? I have called RMP and they said they don't do those. They suggested I should make sure I go to a shop which has done them many times as this is a job where experience of the tech will come into play as it is time consuming and complicated.

I am looking to find out if someone on here had there Evap replaced and if so who/where it was done.

Thanks all.

Sorry to hear about that, it's a dreadful repair. Maybe give Bimmersport a call? They do lots of big jobs, I'm almost sure they've done this before. Also, if your car was recently all dealer maintained, you can try and push the dealership to goodwill some of the repair as a loyal customer for a failure that shouldn't happen on a 6 year old premium car.

Folks,

Looking to buy a e90 M3. Mileage is very low and car is under CPO, but before I travel to Toronto, I would like get a inspection done by a reputable body shop which can go over any repaint, dent repairs, etc that might have been done.

Although, carproof is clean you never know what may be the story behind the scenes.

Thanks all.

Introducing myself,

Been lurking on this site for a while now and have been contemplating pulling the trigger on an E9x for years.

I'm finally in the market for a nice E90 or E92 and hope to get one within the next few months to enjoy in the coming spring.

I look forward to meeting some of you guys at meet and greets and being a contributing member of this forum.

I've had European cars for some time now: VW's, Audi's and even an old Merc, but never a BMW! Time to foray into something new and exciting!

Whats going on everyone, just saying hello and finally picked up my first bimmer, a 335i 08 6mt, and RWD just for the fun of rear wheel. Huge upgrade from my 98 audi a4. Figured id see what all the noise is about amongst bimmers, and i think the e92 design is unreal. Nice to meet you all and cant wait to see how these meets go. So far loving the car!
