2010 e90 Gauge cluster leds changed to white.

First of all, I know a lot of people are gonna me about the blue. To each his own so on. I think it goes great with the white back-lit lcd that has a bluish tint to it. Needles aren't perfect up close, so I'll have to work on them some more, had a little mishap with the tach needle. Overall I'm VERY happy with the result!

lights are on with the camera flash. Close to what it looks like in daylight.

Half brightness

Full brightness

Half brightness again

Full brightness again

For anybody interested in doing this. It only takes 32 white 3528 smd LEDs, a chisel tip sharpie, soldering iron and a couple tools along with @ 1-2hrs of time and patience. The old amber leds can be reinstalled if you are careful removing them.

This is a good place to start. It's not identical to mine but close enough. The connector is in a different location and removing the rings is a bit different. We also have a pcb instead of the flimsy film. It's pretty self explanitory once it's opened up.

I'll work on a DIY when I do the next one.

Cool mod. I was wanting to do this, but wasn't sure what LEDs to use.

Thanks! I'll have some pics without nav this weekend. I've got an 07 335i w/o nav to do. I'll post pics and a DIY after it's complete.

You could email Patrys and he can code an M3 cluster. I just don't know what it would take to code the cluster. I'll look into it though.

as I said, to each his own...don't really care for "indiglo" or ANY add on gauges in a car tbh. I definetly do enjoy them... thanks. Plus, I can always swap back. Just a couple hours work.

Truthfully, that's one thing I really liked about the Infinities. Thanks!

Thanks! I won't have a DIY until this weekend, but I will get one done. I'd do the work, including leds for $100.
