At speeds less than 60 the car is much more responsive, but the ride is too rough. Ive brought my car back to my performance shop numerous times to adjust the settings. I have yet to find something comfortable. the ride is either too rough or too bouncy for me and at speeds above 80 the car feels unstable. changing lanes jerks the car from left to right and its hard to keep her straight. even the slightest touch of the steering wheel and she changes lanes...also she has way too much body roll. I feel as if the kws completely ruined the ride of my car. Im actually affraid to go above 100 mph. it almost feels as if im going to go out of control. Im switching to h&rs soon with front and rear uuc sways...hopefully ill have better luck with that setup.
Another reason why I setup the suspension myself and installed them, so I know exactly how everything is. Your settings must totally be fucked up. If you still have them on the car I would start from the beginning. Start with the recommended settings that KW provides. From there the only thing I have messed with is the rebound which ended up being an extra 1/4 turn all the way around. I left the the compression alone at .75 turn.

The recommended settings I felt were very sporty, but very hard at slow speeds. The 1/4 turn soft for the rebound still left the sporty feel, but made it more comfortable during city driving. High speed stability is rock solid and now I can hit potholes and not cringe. Huge improvement!

Body roll isn't solved with just coilovers. A full sway bar setup should help you with that problem, but at least my car doesn't feel as floaty as it used to with the OEM setup. I would also like to do the sway bars, but I can't justify spending $500 to install the rears alone.

I think your going to be worse off using the H&R's.

Hmmm... I dropped my rear 1.25" and an 1.5" up front. Well actually an 1.5" on the front passenger and an 1.75" on the driver side. Just to make the front even.

Hello MrWhite1015,

I have just gotten off the phone with Orb regarding the noise issue, and I have sent all of the information he has gathered as well as the posts of this issue to my staff in Germany to work with.

If you would like to email me directly at *************@kwautomotive.com with your contact information, I can keep you directly informed to the progress made to fix this issue.

Thank you for your patience. We will get it solved and get you back into happy motoring in no time at all.

Does this mean people should hold off buying a set of V3s at the moment?

Excellent, please keep us updated. It's sad when we have spent so much money on these and they squeak and clunk.

It is not going to happen fast. It would be great time to change out the spring to something better and get rid of the noise for good. I hate to say it but the springs with this kit are junk. It is the first thing I tell people to toss out when tuning the suspension with KW.

Would kind of springs can you match up with the KW? I think us XI guys will be limited with springs for our KWs.

BTW still no problems with mine.

For the record, I just want to add my two chirps to the others. Had the KW v.3 set-up installed six months ago. the frequency of chirps has decreased but they are very much still there. By the way, if you open the front windows you'll hear that they are much louder and more metallic-sounding than what we hear with the windows closed.
I've lowered the car the minimum possible with the KWs
Orb, thanks so much for all of your work and input here.

Got in communication with Glen Messinger as well. KW Germany performed a multitude of tests including accelerated wear and they were done with the tests as of Monday of this week. They were going to report their findings to him yesterday. However, due to his business travels and lack of internet i won't hear back from him till wednesday, the 27th.

I'll update u guys when i hear something.
