I think Shiv has done an excellent job making the V4 very street friendly, now he's going for broke on the drag strip where a large portion of the n54 crowd seems to get their rocks off these days.

cant blame him, its fun.
Well i bought my tune to go faster , not to get the best milage or the least wear on my tires. I know too that a tune has to be perfectly street usable , but that's not why people buy it.

My reaction was on the poster that complained that tuners spend to much time on the fancy stuff . But a big percentage of the people that buy a Procede or a Jb3 will continue modding , so its in their advantage that the tuners focus on the next steps ( methanol , nitrous)

I can agree with that, but a majority of the time needs to be on street tuning! Meth and Nitrous can be used on the street u know

I couldn't agree with you more...Some people mod their cars for hobby sake and also run all the performance of meth and nitrous for spirited street or highways! Not always for 1/4

lol you're "seriously pissed" because you missed out when he told people to email him to sign up for a random private beta test?

You know running the beta stuff isn't necessary right?

Shiv : Several times I’ve asked you to add me to your mailing list , and I never got a reply back … I have to ask the guys here and there to forward me your email sent to them ..

I’m sorry to say that but either you keep your updates confidential between you and your favorites friends and customers and remove free updates from your website so people knows what they are buying ..

OR just simply post it to the public as I can’t stay 24 hours on the forum waiting for you saying " PM me to add you to the list and the deadline is after 24 hours "

Maybe I sound really rude but I'm not usually . i'm just seriously pissed now ..

thank you ..

if you want to stay up to the minute with these things you need to actively participate in the forum, or you can just check his site for map updates every so often...

AFAIK the latest public release v4 maps are always here

Any chance you'll be able to program the TCU in the future? Perhaps get a hold of Alpina's software or maybe figure out a way to program the TCU to shift at 6200 when in sport mode.
the control unit you are referring to is the Telematics Control Unit (gps, phone, bluetooth module)

the transmission control unit is actually called the EGS

cheers
