Screw holes in front bumper.

My car had it's original number plate screwed to the bumper via self tapping screws.
Is there a smart repair that can be done to get rid of them? I want to fit my shorter front plate, but the holes in the bumper would be visible.

A good bodyshop should be able to fill and do a localised respray and blend into the area.

Back during the days when I was into euro style modded VWs my old car had the same thing (as it was cool then not to have a numberplate on the bumper but behind the windscreen on the passenger side ) and my bodyshop was able to do this. Was a completely invisible repair.

No, It's fully legal, correctly spaced, and correctly sized and style font.
It's a five letter/number reg, so I can trim the excess from the edges.

No, it's central. There are places online that can make your plates any size that you ask.
I can't remember where I got mine from, it was a few years back.

Garage List
I've used a fair few companies for plates in the past... my recommendation goes to Craig's Plates (http://www.craigsplates.com).

Good blokes, and nice quality stuff

The rear screw holes are factory punched in the metal panel, with plastic inserts, and there'e only two of course, and they'r much closer together.

The dealers used FOUR screws in my front plate, right in the extreme corners, so no room for reduction for me on my 6 digit plate.

Can't be bothered with a respray just for that.
