Always wanted a cosworth. Those had the cool dogleg shifter too. Really cool cars.

I like the W124 mercs, but wouldn't go as far in body mods as what you posted.

Maybe something more subtle, like the AMG W124s (with the different spoiler/fenders). Like the early BMW M body mods, very subtle and cool.

Here's a vid of what I mean:

Ya, not too amazing. The guy bought the car off the original owner who had it for almost 20 years. The inside and engine are, from what I hear, in pretty great condition.

The Race On Worldwide body kit has been known as the best one out there and I could probably get it for cheap. I have a body shop who would most likely do it for cheap and they would get some great publicity.

The cosworth, from what I am aware of, is a lot tougher than the 2.6s offered. Super well built motor. I shall see when I drive it Thursday!

It will be burned. He has the original and will put that one on for me before I drive off. Taking those lame ass badges off on the size. And they stupid AMG badge. YUCK!

I don't know. To be honest I like the 4 door body of the EVO2 instead of the e30. It reminds me of an e36 M3 for some reason with the flat hood and the flat and angular lines. Plus I can see e30 M3s every ONCE and a while, but I have NEVER seen an evo2 around!

Ya, I saw that video. I actually LOVE the evo2 kit over the evo1 or evo3. It is bold and you would probably turn your head more for that, haha. Don't see them at all.

I didn't look carefully, posted about w124, not w201

Just realized it's a manual cosworth. Just keep in mind that engine parts are crazy expensive and near impossible to find anywhere besides MB. Maybe pull the valve cover and poke around.

How much is he asking? I found a clean title cosworth locally for $3.1k (!) but it's an auto. Definitely cool project car, got me thinking...

Ya, going to take it to a 'pre-sale' inspection at HP Autowerks. The guy is asking $6,900 but I will probably shoot him 5k if everything is doing 'ok.' I do plan on doing some crazy stuff to the car in time, but as of now just need it to go 3 miles a day, haha.

BTW, I am 6'3". Is this going to be a crammed fit? I just starting worrying how well this car will fit my height. Hopefully it isn't too big of an issue. Might need more recaro.

No idea. 5k definitely seems fairer, but hard to tell without knowing history + condition.

Any idea on where you plan on getting the kit? I think there were a few aftermarket companies making them from fiberglass but not cheap. Original used cosworth kits can be had for 1-1.5k, check ebay.

The best kit was made by 'race on usa' but they changed their name. I can 'offer' a price on ebay so I might be able to get these parts for cheap.
