Insurance: Anyone other than Admiral Group?

Hey guys,

It's that time of year again, and insurance is up for renewal.

Who are you guys using? So far I can't find anyone who can get close to Admiral, any little specialists or anything?

I'm 23 on a 335D, although will actually be 24 on renewal, but still below the 25 that a lot of companies restrict this level of performance to.

Cheers,

Tom.

I'm currently with Liverpool Victoria, they were by far the cheapest for me.

I previously went with Adrian Flux who found me the cheapest insurance quote for years. Im now using Privelege.

LV have been the cheapest for many this year.

Swiftcover as discussed on many forums before reserve the right to repair your car with 2nd hand parts.

Cheapness comes at a cost.

ive been with admiral for last 3 years and when it came round to renewal this year quotemehappy.com were £300 cheaper than admiral.

so took out a policy with quotemehappy for £900

but they do say that they only ensure safe drivers so if youve got mods / claims in recent years they may not quote you.

In past Tesco, Aviva and also used A-plan. Currently comeing to end with my cover with Aviva so off to hunt next week. Might give Admiral and LV a call as never used them. However after the problems my friend had with Swift after car went for a walk with him still having the keys will stay away from them.

Even with police report they did not believe he still had the keys until we took photos of them and then sent them to him. He was treated like a criminal total joke

Admiral multicar for us - 640d, 320d and a V8 RR for a smidge over £1k a year.

There are some advantages to nearly being 40!

Have you tried sky insurance? (not the tv sky btw), they were the cheapest for me (26 yr old on a 335D) - there are certain conditions such as you must have been driving for 2 or 3 years etc

I'd like to see peoples experiences with dealing with a claim from Admiral. Guy at work is having a total nightmare with them, for that reason I'll never touch them. The best Ive used was Liverpool Victoria, but Im with Direct Line at mo, they seem very good (and Ive made a very easy hassle free claim).

Aviva for me.

Their cover is not the cheapest, although it isn't far away, but I value the piece of mind you get when you insure your car with a 'blue chip' company.

Garage List
Esure were cheapest for me this time around, £492 at 29 with 5 years NCB in a half decent postcode.

However, I had a 335D back when I was 24 and the cheapest back then (surprisingly) was BMW insurance

For me, Admiral was cheapest. I had only search online and never contacted anybody.

I think this topic should be made sticky, and all of us should keep updating with our findings regularly.

Aviva was cheapest for us last year.

This year I've gone with Admiral Multicar and saved over £700
335d. Seat Ibiza Miserable. Clio Even More Miserable. Civic Slow Sport. Mundaneo Clatter Diesel. Self, wife, 22yo daughter & 20yo son insured for £1700

Expecting them to sting me next year, but I can always change, and the kids are still earning their own NCB, which is important to me, for when (if) they start earning.

Admiral are always the cheapest for me especially on the multi car policy.

E46 at 18 was £1200, everyone else wanted £2200+

Now 21 and I pay £1500 for my 335D.
