need help figuring out lease on e92

just test drove the 335 coupe yesterday...ummm Wow lol I will be leasing 36 months 12 k a year and really only can afford 500 a month. The car was absolutely perfect blue with black, sport only 6 mt tag was 44600. What is the best way to go in there and get my deal? Can someone calcualate wut the lease should be? How should I go about what I put down and any msds. I want this car and won't take no for an answer! Thanks

lol maybe you wont take no for an answer but the dealer sure will.

$500 a month for a 335i coupe is well...almost impossible to get. You could try doing European delivery and lower the monthly payments quite a bit (probably right at the high 4's or low 5s.

However, you can get a 335 sedan for around that price (with a few security deposits).

I leased a very similar car, MSRP $45200 and got $500 off. With nothing "down" (realize that this still means turning over around $2200 for 1st payment, security deposit, etc) this worked out to around $730/mo, and I got a very good money factor. I added the tire warranty, which added $20/mo and has proved (twice in 8K miles) to be a good investment.

Just FYI. Go for the sedan; I think they can be had cheaper on a monthly basis, and are just as fast.

I think that if you pay your taxes, fees, security deposit (if you are a new BMW customer), AND give a $1000 down payment (cap cost reduction)... you MIGHT be able to pull it off; depending on where you live and the taxes in that area, your total out of pocket fees will be around $4,000-$4,500.

I'm not sure though if this will be the case for the coupe as their money factors and residuals are totally diffrent than the sedan. For example, the 335 that I just leased in my signature will be exactly $550/month, total out of pocket was $3,000.00.

In any case there is a whole sub-forum dedicated to this so you might want to ask there.

Good luck!

Try to assume someone's lease... Usually they'll get rid of it for no money (except the xfer fee) and you assume their payment. Plus, some states don't make you pay sales tax.

I would do the Sedan, or a 328, I don't think their is any way in hell you are going to get anywhere near $500 a month on a 335 Coupe lease... They start at $507, and thats already the bare minimum. (Not a bad thing) but add a few extras and boom $600 easy.

If money is tight, I'd find a different route. Maybe a certified Pre-Owned or a Mazdaspeed 6, or RX-8, or Infiniti maybe....

But if it's just a self imposed spending limit? Then you are kinda stuck, I'd say.

I went ahead and just blew my self imposed spending limit all to shit after I drove the 335... FWIW. Just said to hell with it, it's only a couple hundred more a month and it's no big deal so what the hell.

I set up my payments to auto pay though, so I don't have to confront the waste of money that is having a nice car. Especially when you consider the that you could have a nice Loaded Miata, and a decent Truck for the same $$$... Ah Well, Slave to fun I suppose.

$500/mo is quite optimistic and pretty much impossible from my experience in trying to get a hold of the coupe, esp. if it's already on their lot. If they won't negotiate, you may want to drop down to 10k mi/yr to save a few bucks due to the higher residual. You can always buy miles during the lease if need be..but it'd be a big risk if you already feel squeezed by 12k mi.

This just isn't reality. He's dreaming and wasting some CA's time in the process.

Wasting some CA's time? When is inquiring about a car when having a budget in mind considered wasting a CA's time?

Having a budget in mind is great. Having a grasp of reality is imperative though.

A 500 a month payment on a 335 coupe just isn't going to happen without an AMAZINGLY large down payment.
