one more thing. I also got a reply from Jason @ burger motorsports. He said all what need to do is swap the pins in the connector. put wire in pin3 to pin2.

i tried that first but it didnt work its something to do with the resistors in the lci paddles which the chrome paddles dont have

Where did you all source the paddles. Tisher had problems finding them for me (stating the chromes were the latest ones they knew of)

As previously stated earlier in this thread, you cannot just buy oem LCI paddles and get them to work in a pre-LCI car. So need to bother buying from Tischer.

You need the modified LCI paddles from Nexon Motors to work in pre-LCI car

I've got a soldering iron. I don't think I need to spend $100 - $200 more for someone to remove a couple resistors.

Anyone have a P/N so I can at least compare prices?

The guy a Nexxon was pushing for his "full kit" which is over $600! I would rather shop around a bit and see how much I can do myself.

Also what LCI is it referring to. I have a 2009 e90 and technically it's a LCI. What year/car did these paddles come out for?

Nexon is very good about support and communication. you DEF dont need his full kit but i would highly recommend purchasing the paddles from him, as they WILL work, and then you can use this forum for the multitude of solutions for wiring.

you only need the full kit if you dont already have paddles fitted even then the kit is expensive for a couple of wires have to say nexon are very helpful and the paddles are a good price have had mine for a while now and 10 times better than the chrome ones

i would buy from nexxon. great support, extremely fast shipping, and OE product.
one link you are buying the paddles PLUS his installation kit which also modifies the paddles.
in the other link you are buying only the harness. If you buy just the harness from him, you will need to source your paddles elsewhere AND they will have to be modified to work with your car.

you can buy his paddles only, ask that he modify them, then make your own harness.
or buy everything in one stop, modified paddles + harness.

The schematic is the same as minus paddle, the resistor values are
a bit different but I don't measure then accurately..
You can almost read th evalue from my picture but it's a bit out of focus.
If you search on the board you might find someone who wrote down the actual values, I've seen that somewhere but can't give you a pointer to it ..

My car was pre-LCI so I only know for sure on that model.
You can always try without change and if it doesn't work then you do need this change sorry for being sarcastic..

Hmm ... i have a 320d, which does not come with factory paddles, so i think i will need to do the modification myself. Let's just hope i won't mess them up for good, as i'm not that handy with the soldering tool

The picture in the start thread is to dark to see what exactly you did

For the resistor that's getting shorted, do you remove the resistor and then add the wire or does that resistor stay? It's hard to see from the picture.

On each paddle's circuit board, there are 3 terminals for resistors (all 3 are positioned along a line). 2 terminals will have resistors on them, and one will be empty. Remove both resistors. Then, in the non-center (of the 3) terminal, which contained a resistor before you removed it, short the two resistor contacts with a wire (solder it in).
