Getting error with Angel Eyes install, but..

I purchased this CREE LED Angel Eyes for my e90 335xi. Other than their site says "Take 5 minutes to install!" which is totally crazy since you have to remove the wheels and inner lining just to get to the housing, they do work (and honestly aren't as bright as I'd thought, but it's not that big of a deal).

So, the bulbs come with a clip on "resistor/capacitor" thing, which I'm assuming is to help prevent the system from throwing codes about the light not working due to it being LED and low powered. Well, that unit does not fit in the housing at all. Myself and a friend tried for over an hour to somehow get it all in there, and there's just no way.

So without this capacitor thing installed, I do get the bulb icon on my dash that chimes, and sits there for a few minutes...occasionally. It's always during the day, and it does appear to go away. Sometimes just turning my headlights on, from automatic triggers it off.

Here is a picture: Obviously the capacitor(which I'm sure i'm labeling incorrectly) is dangling at the bottom. It's also really cold, and everything is filthy!

How in the world do I get it in there, or did I just choose poorly on my Angel Eyes purchase?

I personally would never buy anything but an aftermarket solution from OSS or Lux.

Yeah I am definitely feeling some buyers remorse. The description on their site says it's the same as a LUX V3 and I purchased some AE's for my e46 a couple years ago on this site, which I thought were great.

With the plethora of things I'd like to buy for my car, re-buying angel eyes is not high on my list. So do I just deal with the error on my dash, or maybe just add this to the bottom of my wish list and someday replace it.

Those won't be too bright either. They are only 10W

We have 40w, 60w and 80w and priced competitively.

You may consider returning those and getting a proven solution.
