I think he meant 'isss' and not 'eye ss' if you know what I mean.

Strange, they raised the steptronic by about $50 on he 335. Wonder why they felt compelled to do that - maybe it's getting the DCT style shifter?

Looks like m-sport package went down about $200 but PDC is removed, thus the M-sport package got more expensive. If you buy the new convenience package, though, you recoup the difference and also get front PDC.

Clever way to persuade people to buy the convenience package and sell them more options.

Looks like all other pricing stayed the same aside from the Jan price and destination hike.

I think the 335is is a cool car, but I'm losing the point. Why not just get a slightly used M3?

I don't get it. I haven't been on the boards in a few months. Why is there 2011 pricing? Is the 2011 model year being produced early? April 15th is the first EU delivery, but when will they be in the states?

What am I missing and what is going on with 2010?

The 3-series models will get the "Model Year 2011" designation beginning this March. March 10 is the start of production for "2011 3-series" to be exact.

See the PDF in this thread for the SOP dates for all 2011 model year BMWs - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=345749

Nope. I actually think it's a better color than deep sea blue. DSB is pretty similar to lemans blue in many lighting conditions.

Thanks for the explanation, didn't know about the inclusion of front PDC.

OK...need your help folks!

I have a 2010 e93 (335i) with M-Sport package on order for ED in March
I priced the same 2011 e93 (335is) and it's $4,800 (MSRP) more expensive.

For the extra...let's say...$4,500 I would get the following:
  • 22 extra bhp and an additional radiator
  • Sports exhaust
  • DCT instead of Auto
  • Front PDC...as well as rear
I talked to my dealer today and can change the order...BUT...I would lose the locked in "Holiday Joy" credit of $2,500 that I already have in my current order...
The interest rate that goes with the Holiday Joy credit on the "i" is 4.9%
The interest rate on a 2011 "is" is unknown at this time...

SO...should I go with the current order and drive my "i" through Germany in 7 weeks happy in the knowledge that 22bhp and a DCT are not that big of a deal and not worth ~$7,000...OR...should I look under the floorboards for a few extra pennies and push for the "is"...so that I don't spend the next 5 years regretting it?

Thoughts?

You also get a more badass body kit (different front and rear). I'd go with the 335is.

For me, the TQ increase to 370 would be [ is ] also important...
But only you can decide what you can live with.
Either way, an excellent BMW!

Bro when it comes to a car, you're the one that has to live with it. Are you looking for a push to the 335is, or do you want support to justify your decision.

For me, I have taken aim at the 335is for numerous reasons, the most important being this is the closest I can get to an M3 without the horrendous gas payments and such.

Those "extra pennies" make a difference when you're in the $50k range and I'm sure you realize that.

The biggest discrepancy I find in your choices are SEDAN and VERT. If you want a sedan then the IS is out of the question obviously, but I think this is where you make your first decision. If you were choosing between 335i coupe and 335is, the decision would be more difficult.

wow! 2011 convertible will be swell, le mans blue, but on top of 51K, 9K more seems insane price hike. u get leather free for $1400, difference is still 7-8k, am I right?

335iS, coupe vs convertible, equally loaded..advise?
