0-60mph 3.3 seconds

Was out testing the sedan. Got a couple 3.4 sec 0-60's and one 3.3 sec.

run#4 11.5sec at 128.4mph, 2.0sec 60'
0-60:3.4 sec,0-100:7.5sec

run#5 11.4sec at 128.5mph, 2.0sec 60,
0-60:3.4 sec,0-100:7.5sec

run#6 11.5 at 128.7mph, 2.0sec 60',
0-60:3.5sec,0-100:7.5sec

run#7 11.4 at 129mph, 1.9 sec 60'
0-60:3.3sec, 0-100:7.4sec

Didn't get the 3.3 sec, 129mph run on video because I pressed stop when I thought I was pressing record on the camera.

But here is the 11.4 at 128.5mph run (0-60mph in 3.4 sec). Can you believe a 11.4 on a 2.0 sec 60' time! With a good launch like these guys with a LSD or some of these light 135i BMWs, I think we would be right at low 11's. Theoretically even high 10's with a great lauch. But still, this is probably the quickest/fastest "335i" time recorded on video. So far

All 2nd gear launches. 68F (521ft DA) 17" NT555R, car weight with me approx 3500lbs. Still stock intercooler, catback, turbos, etc. High octane 76 pump gas mix~97 oct, 100% CM10 meth., 040 dryshot.

Now that I have the nitrous engagement running through the JB4, the trans seems to be taking it much better now. Didn't detect any weird sounding shifts or sliding on the graphs, as you can tell by the video. Very happy to see the JB4 at work cutting nitrous when AFRs start to go up, or timing goes too low, according to whatever values you want to put in it. And with over a couple dozen nitrous runs with no limps, fault codes whatsoever, I would say the integration is working better than I expected.

FYI: This is within 1mph of the Sacramento run in the coupe in a half full bottle and lower map. Under the same conditions, the coupe still ran a full 4mph faster, and at least a second faster in the 60-130. But still the sedan performance is pretty respectable, as this is how I run it on the street, not warmup burnouts, etc.

Damn that's nice. Jb4 nitrous integration FTW. That's what I am talking about. Terry offers integration even if it's for maybe one or two people using it. That's pretty sweet and nice of him to offer this and I have to beg for mine

I'm just walking it out of the hole in 2nd gear. Remember these aren't my track tires (NT01Rs, or Hoosiers), these are my daily driver NT555Rs.

Its obvious what times this car could be capable of with great traction/LSD, etc.

Nope. Have never monitored anything but the JB4 interface, and the BT prior to that. Never had a progressive meth system or controller, nitrous controller, bottle blanket, EGT gauge, etc, etc. I still think most people are too paranoid at the regular power levels in the 112mph range, etc. I haven't even turned on the CPS with the JB4 yet, but really don't want to raise the EGTs anymore anyways. The coupe did many runs over 130mph, no engine problems whatsover. I am a firm believer the BMW DME is pretty good at controlling a lot of things on its own. I think if you artificially retard the timing, the DME will see to raise it to the knock threshold anyways. And as many have said with CPS corrections, the cars lose quite a bit of performance. It feels fine, and you might "Think" its faster, smoother, but I have found otherwise.

Again, no faults, limps, no audible trace of any knocking whatsever. But yes, its obvious this is not a mellow low power run, probably towards the upper performance levels for the N54 right now.

I went out and purchased a postal scale last week which can measure down to fractions of an ounce: So with 3 runs from 60-130 and 4 qtr mile runs...the bottle lost exactly 3lbs 6 ounces of nitrous. So about 1/3 the bottle. So does anyone with nitrous experience know if this sounds about right for a 040 jet at 1000psi?

Regardless, over half a dozen qtr mile runs would take less than 1/2 the bottle, so you can see why this can be fairly practical for someone who wants to have a little more HP at the push of a button.
