Folks,
I was misinformed about the charge pipes. The charge pipes are actually on the cold side of the IC. This is actually a BOV kit with VIP Tuning charge piping mandrel bent in. You can chose your own BOV (Greddy, HKS, etc.) and the VIP Tuning charge pipes will be as part of the kit. Like I said, email VIPTuningML@yahoo.com for information and to order. The cool part about the charge pipes and intake is that they can come in wrinkle black, wrinkle blue, or wrinkle red! You can also color the couplers blue, blue, or red! |

...question though, with the positioning of the intake that close to the fog light on the driver side, Are you not able to put the plastic shielding back on... or did u leave it off for the picture?

The mud flap is left out to obtain more photos for more accurate information on how the intake is position.

Everything on the car remained intact the way it is, no need for the removable of anything. On my E90, all I did was cut out the solid piece of plastic on my lower driver side grille. You'll be good to go.

I have no intentions to argue about this product but I will one more time be clear about what I think about turbo cars and so called "cold air intakes".
The cold air intake in my opinion does not improve any air intake temp for the simple fact that the air is being compressed and "re-cool" on the intercooler before it entry the intake manifold. No matter what, the air will be sucked into the the turbos to be compressed and heated up to later cool down when it exits the turbo compressor and travels through the piping and the intercooler. I can clearly see the benefit of a cold air intake on a N/A engine because the air will travel directly into the TB/ intake manifold thus making a difference, the colder is being sucked the colder is gets directly to the engine. The only thing that I see as advantage is perhaps the flow(size of the air filter, material of the airl filter element, shape of the intake pipes, etc. I will never plan on putting a "cold air intake" on any of my turbo cars. my .2c |

I don't think this will fit the E92 because on my car there is a support bar running in the middle of where the intake goes down to the brake duct.So without removing that bar I don't think it will work.I'm assuming no one with an E92 has tried this eh?

the support bar must be removed for any CAI. I believe MSDS requires you to remove the bar as well. I have it on my E92. The support bar is on both the E92 and the E90. The bars purpose is for protection from impact if I am not mistaken.

I'm not digging the way the pipe splits AT ALL though, one turbo is clearly going to be working much harder then the other with that setup.

I beg to differ. VIP has a 430 whp monster that breathes fire and he hasn't blown a turbo. The intake has been on the car from square one and he's put many, many miles on the car. Lots of R&D has been put into this by a master technician (level one) at BMW...if anybody knows this 335 inside and out, VIP does...that's why I went to him for my tuning solutions.

I highly doubt it is $4000 for a sponsorship, unless he is talking about a gold sponsorship and for a long period of time. Otherwise, that is just rediculous. I am sure a short term Bronze sponsorship would cost much, much less? no?

The fee for a 1 month bronze sponsorship has not been a US$ 3-digit number. I got it within 48 hours, online. Thanks to Jason again for supporting me.
