Help!! Active Steering Noise
ok, so as the topic says , a noise is coming out of my active steering pump
it has the same noise as what a low fluid pump does... something spinning at the same engine speed/RPM + engine sounds like a very awful 4 cyl while revving but the confusing part is that my fluid level is topped to the marker, no active steering fault on instrument cluster (or any other faults) and the system works so fine while driving ... no noises while turning, except a normal noise when the car is stationary.. or i dunno if it should make this sound either ! so any idea about what might be the problem ? note: from time to time the system requires some additional fluid (very small amount). although i can't find any visible leak. i use CHF 11S the car is E90 330i 2007, around 126k km (78k miles) and engine belt was changed like 10 months ago. Thank you

I have same already more than one year and don't know what to do... Not sure if replacing steering pump would help. Though I am even not sure is it really pump or other pulley.
So if you find out what is wrong please share. |
