Taillight Issue

Taillight is giving me this awkward somewhat flashing signal. To understand what i'm talking about, click on this video. Whenever I turn on my left signal light, an error code on my dashboard pops up, and my front headlights start to blinking really fast. I've looked at several forums, but couldn't find the answer. Any help is appreciated.

What i've tried:
Replacing the signal bulb.
Swapping out bulbs with my other taillight
Check the wiring if their are any rips or wear.

Not sure this will help but I had the same problem. I brought it to dealer 3 times and they changed bulbs, checked for corrosion and ensured wiring was in tact. All three times it failed within minutes of getting my car back. They finally agreed to replace entire tail light unit and it worked

Hmmm...interesting. I've bought new bulbs, assuming that the current bulbs died out, but that didn't work. I've also tried swapping out my right taillight bulbs to my left taillight, but still nothing happened. I'm purchase the taillight bulb holder today, hopefully that will work.. .

So, are you kidding me?...really?...this is where technology gets us?...or is this where technology GETS us!....the whole tail light which is expensive has to be replaced is wasteful in design, not very green, and just plain frustrating...this is not very BMW.....

what about new seals?

harumph!

my tailight melted around the bulb.... they replaced to new one and recoded... apparently the way programmed was wrong and and they had to recode and make it where the output is less so it will not burn the housing.... i dont kknow what the heck SA was talking about but somehting to do with output voltage....bottom line is recoding will work

i coded a local members pre-LCI E90 with LCI headlight and taillight retrofit. did the same thing and coded out the cold & warm bulb checks and went away.

same thing may fix your cars but i don't understand why it'd do it for LCI's.

Update: So, I purchased a new tail light (OEM for $25) and after replacing my defected one, my new left taillight now works! Took me probably 5 minutes to replace it. Hope this help anyone who has similar problem.
