Hey guys, just introducing myself. coming from an e46 325xi. bought a 2008 335i last summer, metalic black, m-sport, etc. Just did the JB4 and holy hell, this car is fast. Will be adding a new CP/BOV next. Live in the south hills.
Anyone local want to help walnut blast my car? Or have any shops they recommend? |

Recently picked up a 2012 e92 335i xdrive. Coming from an e39 M5 with 222,xxx miles on her. Threw a JB4 in it the first week and waiting on the charge pipe.
I got a recommended obd cable but downloading the software is proving daunting. If anyone has all the software to load up on my laptop it will be worth dinner and beers. I'm in Butler but know of some good eating in the Strip. |

BUMP for Lord Stanley returning to the steel city tomorrow!
Side note: If any of you guys figure out the whole walnut blasting thing, let me know. I've been dying to have mine done. I just bought my car about a year ago, but its at 75k now, so I'm sure it's long overdue. I have called around to a few indys, and most only offer the spray-in liquid jobs. Not interested in that, its a glorified $8 injection cleaner as far as I'm concerned. Would be willing to split costs with people, if someone knowledgeable stepped forward to be able to do it without wrecking the engine. |

I was just looking at the kit, and watched the BavAuto vid. Got me thinking though that if I'm going this route, and going to be pulling the engine apart, might as well do other things at that time. So trying to decide if I want to drop the $1k+ for flash/DCIs/chargepipe and just get them all done at once. |

I also plan on doing a bunch of other maintenance while I have the engine bay torn apart (Intake Mani/TB Gaskets, Oil Filter Housing, Valve Cover, PCV, etc). Probably dropping in my index 12 injectors as well as a full coolant flush. |

Who was at the Giant Eagle in Bethel Park Monday evening? Black LCI e90 335 with CSL wheels. Car looked sharp. I had my 335 there as well.

Hey Guys... I haven't checked out this local post in a long time, glad to see it's still alive. I'm also in the south hills area... lowered titanium silver 335.
Anyhow, I cleaned my intake last year at ~35k miles using the Bav blaster kit. It's a really simple and straight forward process. Be sure to put the cylinder at TDC for the intake you are working on (valves closed) and everything will be fine. It made a noticeable difference with the throttle response, smoothness of the power delivery, and better idle. I didn't document the entire process, but took before and after pics/vids. Any questions let me know. |
