Another CCA social/AutoX

Another local chapter social at Zodiac Grill in Gaithersburg on Thur. I will probably show up; the last one there was pretty decent, although not many from this board came.

Also, there's an AutoCross this Sat at Bowie BaySox Stadium, doubt if I can make it, but I may.

Can you go if you have never Autocrossed before? I might be interested in just checking it out at least.

You mean as a spectator, kinda interested in going as well. A dc metro member will be giving it a run or two in his E90 335i...

Will see about the Happy Hour...its quite some distance for a weekday. Thanks for the heads up pseto.

I am signed up for heat #3 which should start around 1:30pm. My first autox event was a few weeks ago actually

You'll need a helmet if participating, but they have some there to borrow. I think walk-up slots are rare, so advanced registration is advised.

another bump to remind people about tonight's gig at Zodiac Grill in Gaithersburg. hopefully a few from this board can make it. the last time I may have been the only one to show, although Porsche Pete was there too.

Those pics were from the last NCC-CCA autox event (which I tried dragging you to

). Someone was there with a telephoto zoom lens clicking away at every car. Good thing I took my plates off

Are you planning to make an appearance? I think shimshimhada is going... I am trying to see if I can ride shotgun to see what it's like.

It was another fun outing at the Bowie Baysox stadium parking lot today. There was a Dodge Viper in my heat, but it wasn't pushed nearly as hard as the riced-out Civics. A few entertaining drifts and spinouts, too
