Squeeky interior fan!!

Anyone else had this issue? Just curious if it's just the fan or maybe the whole blower motor.

When car is cold, start it up and put the heat on full blast. For about the first 10-15 minutes of my drive (varying), it will squeek incessantly from under the dashboard in the passenger foot-well. Sounds like a mouse is under there. It goes away when the fan is turned off, and it squeeks no matter what fan speed I have it on.

It also sometimes decides to start squeeking intermittently when it feels like it, and what's odd is it will squeek when accelerating, then will go quiet when i put the clutch in to shift, and will then start squeeking again upon acceleration into the next gear.

It's annoying the shit out of me so I want to do something about it, but don't want to pay to have it diagnosed, so does anyone have any idea if this is just the fan or the whole blower motor?

Thanks for any advice.

Had the same issue in my '06 323, they replaced the entire blower motor and fan if I recall correctly.

Its also recently started in my '11 335, was planning on having the dealer take a look at it when I'm in in two weeks.

Garage List
Blower motor. Mine was squeaking like crazy out of warranty, so I bought it and installed it myself.

Thank you all for the advice and replies!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing this. It happened last winter too but I totally forgot about it over the summer, as it only seems to happen when it's cold.
