Wow. For the car to end up in TWO pieces must have involved RIDICULOUS speeds. Looks to be well over 150 MPH. RIP.

Ouch. No surviving that. Live fast, die young, and leave a good looking corpse. Well, two out of three ain't bad.

Not necessarily. The car is designed to break apart in sections if it's hits/gets hit a certain way. You don't necessarily have to be going extremely fast for it to happen, but obviously the case is usually speed.

That's a Challenge Stradale, not a 599. Well if you're going to die in a car accident, it might as well be the best Ferrari since the F40

Quote:
The Web site also reported that Lewis' car appeared to be a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, which can reach a top speed of 205 mph and carries a price tag around $300,000.

Seriously though, RIP. I love MMA and this really is sad

A woman in the Ferrari was ejected from the vehicle and was in stable condition at a local hospital. Police haven't determined if she was the driver or passenger of the Ferrari, according to the Times.
Whoa. Eight lives left.

it's not supposed to break like it did. The telephone pole sheered right through the cabin. The back of the car, right behind the firewall, is supposed to break off in an intense crash. There is no way for that to happen when you hit a telephone pole anywhere in front of the firewall.

I highly doubt the car is going to break in two under just moderate speeds. Think of the lawsuits if you were driving like 65, hit a pole, and the car breaks in two, a crash you would have otherwise survived if the car didn't break in two.
