how to install car Ganesh - Hindu's please advise

In my Honda crv I used industrial strength velcro from home depot cut to size. It did the job. On my e92/n54 dash (in the middle grainy squarish area) it holds for a few weeks and then keeps coming off. Today I braked hard down from about 105 mph when my Beltronics gx-65 beeped and the industrial strength velcro failed again. I want to avoid gorilla glue etc that will permanently stain or bond with the dash. The statue looks like this. I also rubbed the dash area with alcohol before sticking the velcro. How did you guys install your car Ganesh in your e9x. Pics appreciated. Thanks

You need professional installation bro - go to a dealership. Or take it in to Jon @ Bimmersport to get it installed.

Don't try to DIY this bro.

I have a lot of Hindu friends and Sikh friends and I'm desi myself and I'm wondering is this a necessity. I'm not saying for u not to put it I ask because most or all my friends don't have it in their cars.

3m works best... my gf had the same problem and was going to superglue it but I had some 3m Tape laying around. glue may damage the surface if you ever needed to take it out to sell the car.

bhaiyon aur behno, thanks for your responses. I think this will withstand Chicago's extreme weather (heat and cold) and also handle any hard braking etc. Basically this disc needs to be cut to size and the Idol can be glued to the disc or we can use 3m Vhb tape that looks the pic from starbai in post #7 betwen Idol and disc.

I used 3m double sided tape and put it inside the 2nd hump in front of the idrive screen. I felt on the dash it would be in the way.

Which part you from?

Honestly, I have a saibaba statue that i just used regular scotch tape on. I have no clue how its still standing but i think cleaning both surfaces well is key.

Good luck bhai.

Sugru might do the trick. Stuff's incredible.

It should stick SOLID, and will be a PAIN to get off if you ever want to, but it should be cleaner than gorilla glue.
