Didn't know that the alarm goes off when the car is locked and you open the bonnet (hood). How cool is that!

[QUOTE=ScheerSpeed]-
-having the clutch depressed at a stop is actually burning up the clutch (clutch plates never release from each other completely, there is always a bit of friction between them) i dont think this is true. im not saying for sure because im not an expert... can someone verify this either way??

it is true, try this: rev up you engine without depressing the clutch, see how the RPM's fall after you rev it (3500 is a good rev to try this) then do the same thing, but with the clutch depressed, and you will see that the RPM's will fall much faster, and it will take them longer to get to where you revved it w/o the clutch being depressed. thus it can be concluded that the RPM's fall faster and climb slower with the clutch depressed because there is more resistance on the engine (i.e. clutch friction) |

So as I was showing the people who bought my car all the features I tried to show them that you couldn't lock the key in trunk I proceeded to actually lock it in. Embarrassment ensued. WTF, shouldn't that work?

If you have I'drive it's all very clear .... When you push the DTC button once the following message comes up: "DTC activated, DSC+ restricted" Press and hold and it says: "DSC+ de-activated" I have tested the double press of the unlock button if you are locked in ... doesn't work ... there is no way out apart from smashing a window. My contribution(s) ... If you have i'drive you just need to press the knob down twice from the menu screen to turn it off ... Traffic announcements (TP) can be cancelled by pressing the 'up or down' button on the steering wheel. When you are in the phone list screens (eg A to Z) the steering wheel up and down buttons let you scroll through the entries and the phone button dials them. |
