You will need to reuse your airbag and fascia plate from your current car.
Here is a pic of Drew's M3 wheel retrofit:

Alternatively, I'll sell my Msport wheel with paddles for $350, perfect condition, pictures on request.

Does your msport wheel with paddle look like the following?

If so, I may be interested... The M3 wheel looks tempting, but I like how I can change up/down using either hand.

BMW did that on purpose because m3 owners (from what I have been told) are dumb as shit. After extensive testing, BMW discovered that m3 owners couldn't work the multi function 335 paddles, so they put a simple and - on the paddles ;-)

Yes my Msport wheel is identical to that from what I can see. I am however selling the 'wheel with paddles' on its own as I'll be reusing the trim piece, airbag and buttons.. Will sell with trim piece for an extra ~$100 odd, have to check how much a new one for the M3 wheel would be.

If you're referring to the M3 wheel, maybe cause BMW made it that way?

If you're referring to my Msport wheel, it does indeed have perforated leather.
