Can somebody clarify if you are able to open and close the roof with the remote, or is this an extra cost option? ... oh and congrats on the purchase!

Congratulations the e93 is fantastic. I picked up my Space Grey 335i 2 weeks ago.

Definitely get Comfort Access you won't regret it. Also, I went with the manual, it's superb.

All cars have the facility to open the roof by remote, to close the roof you need to add Comfort Access.

Welcome on board James, join the list of us 'not so' patiently waiting delivery of there E93's!

Seems like there must of been a rush, I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago, and got a June delivery. Haven't seen many on the road yet, but there will be a few out there. I heard that the UK had an allocation of about 7000 first year, how true that is I don't know?

The delays are more to do with the engine than the body type. There is currently huge demand for the 335i engine which they can't keep up with, hence the huge wait.

Don't worry about the weather. You look a bit odd but with the heating on you can have the roof down any time of year as long as it isn't raining. Just a shame BMW don't do the 'air scarf' (heated neck back thing) that Merc do on their convertible (SLK at least).

I'm really surprised at that, we are consultants to manufacturing at BMW group and they have a pretty slick setup for manufacture and build of engines. They also seem to have free capacity.

I will speak to our people over in Germany, see if they know anything.

You will be lucky. I pushed the dealer and got Bluetooth, Floor mats and dealer fit iPod interface in glove box thrown in.

Given the demand i doubt you'll get much of a discount on an E93. My dealer said they were only selling them at list.

Perhaps it has more to do with all the fuel pump failures. Even considering that you don't hear about those who are unaffected there do seem to be quite a few people, particularly in the states reporting problems.

Cynically you might think that they want to keep numbers and so risk contained.
