Has anybody bought ONE plus ONE?

As title suggest, any of us own one plus one.

I am tempted to buy it but you need invitation....
And people are waiting for the phone for months...

Anyway, taken the plunge and ordered one.

It looks a cracking bit of kit for the money. It really shows other manufacturers up when they have to ask more than double the price for the same spec.

I got a Galaxy S5 a few months ago and I'm happy with it. I'm not looking to move on.

Even with its bargain price, just like the excellent Nexus devices, you'll not see many people with one.

It does seem that the vast majority of people want a "free" phone and are happy paying extortionate amounts per month.

I'm reading comments about people paying £65 per month to get a "free" iPhone 6+.

That is £1560 for their two year contract!!!!!!

Sadly too many people will be happier financing a top end phone that finding £250 up front to buy a One plus One , then a sim only deal for £12-15 per month.

Very true. Well described the free phone culture which is false economy.

I always buy my phones so I can change when I like and keep a sim only deal for £11.

Works out better in all aspects.

Going back to one plus one, I kept my eye on it before launch. Could not order one on launch as so many people are after it.
And since they do not sell it on the stores, and you require invitations which means you will have to work hard.

Anyway after 24 hours of chatting, working on their forum, I have managed to get invitation. Ordered 64GB for £269 + 10 Shipping + 2 cases.
So nearly £299 for most powerful android phone with two cases.

Yes, perhaps you are right.
I have iphone 5s. Ordered this as a secondary phone just to play with it.

With bmw CIC / NBT its so much easier to hook your iphone and all the music is up there. With android its a different ballache.

Interesting phone. Not sure how they make money on it. Strip out VAT and there is not a lot left for component costs.

Would definitely buy one for that price.

Those who bought it are very happy.
Since most of my stuff is on apple so I'll be selling mine soon.
I bought it to try 'most powerful' android machine.

Very true and can be frustrating .
You appear to be literally begging for it on their forums!
I won one competition and slept. I was sent invitation for 5 minutes and I lost it as invitation was sent 2pm in the night. Owner gave it to somebody else. And thats how it works.
So had to be on the case again but within 24 hours I had invitation.
You have to work hard and be consistent!!

Well thats your perception

If you check and compare the specs....

OPO (one plus one) has 2.5Mhz Quadcore where Oppo has 2.3 Mhz.
OPO has 3GB ram and Oppo has 2GB ram.
OPO has 3100mAh battery where Oppo has 2800mAh

Otherwise very similar in specs...

http://www.phonearena.com/phones/com...ones/8590,8603

AFAIK, nothing has beaten the specs of OPO.

Must say that you have good phone if not the best

you, my friend, are comparing the oppo find 7A with the OPO... and indeed the OPO is better... i have the Oppo Find 7... ie. the one with the QHD display...

it has a 2.5ghz quad core 801, 3gb RAM and a 3000mah battery (still 100 less but it is removable unlike the OPOs)...

So more or less its similar to what OPO. Would be interested to know what extra do you have which makes oppo find 7 better?
External memory card flexibility?

Sorry, but never heard of oppo brand so please feel free to enlighten us
(if you do not have better thing to do at work )

lol what i think makes the oppo better is the magnificent screen... beasting a 2560x1440p screen (538ppi or something)... a lot of people think this is a waste on the phone but the sharpness is amazing... as a photographer i love looking at my photos on it... the colour accuracy is mad too...

also the external storage option, although i dont use it...

another big thing for me... removable back cover + battery... i scratched this bitch up and i can just change the cover... if i stay out for a few days, i just change the battery when it runs out... battery lasts me 15 hours with about 4 to 6 hours screen on time though, so it's not like i need to change it over much...

this is the best thing though: the VOOC charger... my god, why has this never been invented before... it's a special charger... literally from 0%, 5% takes a minute, 30% takes 10mins, 50% comes in 20mins and fully charged can come in 1 hour... 1 flipping hour yo! the number of times where my phones at 20% and i just leave it on charge, get ready to go out and i come back 20mins later and its at 75%+

ooo also, the camera is mad... 13mp, clean and clear... but it can do a 50mp picture to with a bit of processing and trust me, it really is 50mp :|

the mono speaker is loud enough for me to use it as my primary source of audio in the car while i wait for a new processor

the OS is okay, not amazing, but i have a theme on it, runs just like vanilla android... not rooted or anything (but that will come soon)...

and oppo themselves... they never really made phones... they are a chinese company that specialised in electronics... things like blu-ray players... only recently they started delving into the phone world with the oppo find 5... the first ever phone with a 1080p screen... the oppo find 7 - the first ever phone with a 2.5k screen

Sounds like very interesting.

For me best thing is developing phone and trouble shooting it.
OPO has massive community and massive work is being done by them to improve.

See some videos of OPO and you will realize what it is.

PS: oppo seems a good device
