How about a well designed oil catch can?
A simple and inexpensive Braille lightweight battery holder (plastic)?
Roundel option on your FMIC?
Fascimile of BMW Perf seats (euro - sparco recaro corbeau modified to look like the Perf seats)
Sourcing lightweight replacement parts.

They already have an oil cooler kit

Upgrade = ~$600

Full install for cars without an oil cooler = ~$1500
(You can't bring that down much because it's a lot of OEM parts cost)

Basically, if you "saved" $600 bucks by not buying the 18 inch wheel option (so you could put the money towards aftermarket wheels), you just cost yourself $1500 bucks by not getting the oil cooler.

If my dealer hadn't lied to me about the oil cooler coming with my configuration (17" wheels), I would have spent the $600 for 18 inch wheels and gotten an oil cooler to boot.

very true. if i had known about the oil cooler, i wouldve popped for the upgrade.

i like the simple idea of just placing the oil cooler behind the kindeys. maybe vince can do a cheaper option for us guys with no oil cooler located there.

All the above idea's sound great... but my suggestion is a little bit off, and probably unobtainable... A HPFP that won't fail, would be an awesome GB...

I am voting for a second oil cooling on the driver's side or like the performance kit upgrade a coolant cooler. For the price as long it is cheaper than it is already offered.

Seems everybody is split over FMIC, radiator, and a better/additional oil cooler. Why not do a GB for all three? $1500 for all three?

In itself a good idea. However, there are people (like myself) who already have an upgraded FMIC and an additional oil cooler...
