BMS is out of Cali. If you're so sure that something is wrong with the tune, why not take it to them, let them the tune. That way if it goes limp again, it's clearly the tune at fault.

I just emailed BMS and they said they are not aware of any N55 Stage2 customers having any problems like that out of almost 1000 in use. Are you sure you have contacted them? Their tunes always include a 12 month warranty and normally they would ask you to send it in to be tested if a defect was suspected. Was it tested?

Mike

I have has no issues and I went through the JB+, then the Stage 1 and then the Stage 2 a long time ago. If I ever had an issue [with any of my components in my FBO setup] Terry would work with me to help troubleshoot and we'd figure it out. There must be a logical explanation (as Mike pointed out above) too many of us have the Stage 2 and it is very reliable. I suggest you go see them - Terry is a stand up guy and he backs up his product. Good luck in your troubleshooting.

This guy seems like one of those that is to afraid to stop and ask for directions and instead keeps driving until he hopes to find his destination. This is the exact same situation, you are so close to BMS you can just go to them and ask for help instead of creating a thread like this when it is a 99.9% chance that this is your own fault and not theirs.

If you actually try to talk to Mike and tell him about your problem by pming him instead of bitching in the forums then he would help you out... I don't even know Mike but he has helped me out in the past and replies really fast. He really cares about the customers.

I don't live near simi anymore so I can't simply "swing" by and have them figure it out... sometimes figuring things out on your own is a bitch but when all else fails ask someone who might know, like most of you guys here.
I agree with you, sometimes it's easier to do it yourself and become familiar with the tune and the sensors etc. it has helped me a lot to learn my car and tune by doing it all myself. On the other hand though, when I had issues I called in and got some one-on-one help with my tuner. The problem is that if you've installed it yourself then you tend to do it the same way every time. So if you've re-installed it 7 times or 17 times, you still may not be doing it right even if you think you do. Maybe it's the fact that a sensor didn't click in etc. happened to me when one wire got pulled out of my harness as the injen intake was tugging on the maf sensor...

My advice is for you to ask bms if they will test your harness and jb4 so you will know if its the problem or not.

Why not just UPS Ground it to them and have them check out the Tune and the Harness? Since you live 2 hours away shipping won't be that much and it will get there the next day. Instead of trying to figure this out on yourself it may actually be a defect in the tune. So what you'll be out of a tune for a few days? Heck, if it was BMS' fault you may get the shipping covered or some free stickers. Stuff happens.
