dvd in motion

How easy is it to get this done?

dead easy - it's a small module that piggy backs in the wiring behind the stereo

Simply pop out the head unit - unplug the connector and add the Y-loom in place with a little black box connected to it.

It's a bit if a squeeze fitting it all back in behind but after that, hey presto, DVD's carry on playing when the vehicle is moving.

I used to use it when playing music DVD's - got quite a few gigs etc on DVD - passengers can watch it and all listen.

Got mine off ebay - was about £130 but have come down since then I think?

I've done it in the GT.
Got mine from dvdinmotion on a group buy on here for Â£90.
You give them your chassis number and they send you a link to burn an iso file to a cd.
Put the cd in the head unit let it reboot the idrive system and that's it.

Really? That sounds nice and easy. Can it bugger up your idrive though?

I have had no problem with it, since June.
Easy, simple , takes a minute or so
You can go back to stock and then enable dvd in motion as many times as you like.

I got it coded for 15 EUR. Took 2 minutes to do for someone that knows what he's doing (I got the HD satnav).

I'd definitely have it done for €15, I've got the cable but can't get the NSC software to work

I take it you can't do this on the pre-LI E92? In fact, can it even play DVD's?!

You will need aftermarket TV module. Cost £350.
And then you can buy another card to activate DVD play in motion for £150, or you can have your car coded to save this money.

If it is coded, nothing to worry about. They will not be fiddling with it, unless you have few complaint on your CIC / CCC.

See this a while ago and I keep meaning to order a lead, anyone point me in the right direction of one that can do the job lots on ebay but don't know if there anygood.

you just repeat the same steps ; insert the cd , it will be ejected automatically , remove it completely and insert it again after 5 seconds. System will restart and cd will be ejected. Remove the cd and system will restart again and you are done.
