Hi-Fi Options
Hello all,
Have been browsing the options list and for the sound system in the UK there appears to be only 2 options:- HiFi Speaker system - £390 Hi-Fi Sys Prof DSP - £820 It appears that the Logic 7 system is not available for the UK? Is this correct? Any advice from current owners as to which of the above options is the best to go for? Cheers Last edited by G123; 04-09-2006 at 11:06 AM.. |

Hi, another UK member here, I have a 320iES with the 'HiFi ten speaker' upgrade (390ukp) which I had no hesitation in ordering because I assumed that BMW high quality standards would propagate through to good quality audio.
My previous car was a 320dES, and I found the standard audio in that was very acceptable, so I thought the 'HiFi Upgrade' in my new E90 could only be even better than that. Unfortunately I was wrong, I just can't seem to get a good sound from it, the door speakers in particular sound as though they are underpowered and the whole system sounds unremarkable, no matter what bass, treble, fader, or balance settings I try - I'm sure you know the experience of driving along happily tweaking this and that, trying this CD, then that radio station, then back to this other CD again, There are a number of threads in the forum which I note indicate many owners are of the same opinion; in retrospect, I should have kept the 390ukp and considered using it as a contribution towards an aftermarket system.
