335I extended warrantys
I'm about to run out of warranty (49k miles). I'm looking at getting the BMW gold warranty for 7y/100k. What have your experience been with getting work done? Is this warranty about the same as the factory warranty in terms of service or are they even more prone to denying service?
I really couldn't stand to pay over $3000 just to deal with bullshit like "oh aftermarket wheels = warranty voided" I'd use this warranty for something major like turbo, engine or transmission failure in which case I would take out the aftermarket tune and intercooler, maybe even the airfilter and catch can before towing it in. Also, I have been and will continue to do my own maintenance on my car. Has this been affecting extended warranty's at all?

it doesn't cover everything powertrain, so keep that in mind...if you bring in the car for some coolant or boost problem...and they find out its a bad hose or kinked vacuum line...you'll be paying for everything. in other words read the document that lists whats NOT covered.
